In September 2021 Georgian customs service detained unprecedented number of counterfeit goods designated with trademarks of our clients. In total, customs service has detained 18,282 items of counterfeit products in the course of 69 suspension case of importation. In 68 cases, settlement was reached with importers regarding destruction of counterfeit goods and only 1 case was filed before the court for further consideration. Counterfeit goods will be destroyed in the nearest future under the supervision of Revenue Service of Georgia.
