State of emergency declared in Georgia for prevention of spread of COVID-19

Taking into account the mass spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and the increasing challenge facing the country, on March 21, 2020 a state of emergency was declared throughout the whole territory of Georgia which will remain in force until April 21, 2020. Some of the rights protected by the Constitution of Georgia shall be restricted for the duration of the state of emergency. The list of the measures for prevention of spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) includes amended rules for administrative proceedings and provision of public information. Namely, terms for filing and consideration of administrative claims as well as terms for providing public information and personal information as prescribed by the law are suspended.
